Heska Amuna Womens League

12 pm March 22, 2020 to 12 pm March 23, 2020

Conference Canceled: March 22nd and March 23rd
Ladies, Out of an abundance of caution, we are cancelling the Southern Region Conference. While we currently have over 40 participants registered to attend and currently are not aware of confirmed cases of coronavirus in our area, we have had some cancellations and numerous inquiries about cancelling and refunds, particularly in light of actions taken yesterday by Hadassah to cancel their Region conference and a travel ban by WLCJ cancelling all consultant and officer’s travel. We will be refunding your registration fees and cancelling the hotel block.  However, please confirm with the hotel that your reservation is cancelled.   We had 4 wonderfully articulate, knowledgeable, and inspiring guest speakers scheduled to present at the conference.  We are going to make every attempt to schedule zoom presentations with them over the next few months to share their knowledge and calls to action.  Please be on the look out for those sessions.   If you have any questions or concerns regarding the conference you can reach me at 865-816-2714 or womensleague@heskaamuna.com.

Autumn has also challenged mandatory waiting periods for abortion in Florida, Oklahoma, and Tennessee, where she recently led a team of attorneys in a four-day trial in late 2019. Prior to joining the Center in 2012, Autumn was a litigator at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, where she devoted a significant amount of time to pro bono matters involving civil and constitutional rights. Autumn has also served as a State Strategies Fellow for the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project, providing legal analysis and strategic advice to ACLU affiliates on legislation affecting reproductive health services.
